Online application process has 2 steps:

2- Make the payment to the Rotary of Blackwood bank account information below.
3- Download the Tags sheet below and attach to your entry

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND SALE
- Number/size/hanging of Entries. An Artist / Photographer / sculptor may enter up to four (4) (or 6 for Platinum entrants) of any combination of un-copied paintings, photographs and sculpture not previously entered at the Blackwood Rotary Art Show. Maximum size (including frame) for art: 1.25 square metres. (Multiply width in metres by height in metres) – Photos maximum of 51 x 61cm. Sculpture a maximum 1 metre x 1 metre, maximum weight 20kg. Both art and photographs must have attachments that enable them to be hung on hooks. Each entry must be identified by the firm attachment, with all the details correctly filled in, to the top left-hand corner of the back of each painting/photograph. - Entry Form and Closing Date. Entry forms can be completed on-line or downloaded from the Blackwood Rotary Club website. Entry and payment must be received on-line, by Email to blackwoodartshow@gmail.com, or by post to Rotary Club of Blackwood, PO Box 20, Blackwood, SA 5051 by Wednesday 12th June 2024.
- Entry The entry fee is $15.00 for each painting and sculpture submitted. The entry fee is $10.00 for each photograph. All entry fees are NOT REFUNDABLE in any circumstances.
- Waiver. Unless advice is received from you by the closing date, it is assumed that the Rotary Club of Blackwood is permitted to use photographs of the artworks for promotion on the Blackwood Rotary website as well as social media. (email blackwoodartshow@gmail.com)
- The Rotary Club of Blackwood will exercise all reasonable care in handling the work submitted, but will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any works whilst in its custody, or the Club’s The Rotary Club of Blackwood will not accept responsibility for damage (shrinkage) resulting from the use of inferior canvas or paint. ARTISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR INSURING THEIR WORKS AGAINST LOSS OR DAMAGE.
- The artist will indemnify The Rotary Club of Blackwood against any cost incurred by the Club (including legal fees and damage) in any way relating to the work and the exhibition of the work in the Art Show, including claims in defamation and claims of injury and property damage (including damage to or loss of the work itself).
- Receipts will not be issued for entry fees, but are issued to exhibitors for all exhibits on delivery and to purchasers on sale of exhibits.
- Receival of Entries. Works of art must be delivered to the reception point at Blackwood High School Open Space Centre, Seymour Street, Eden Hills between 9am and 3pm on Sunday 7th July 2024,
- Announcement of Winners. Prize winners shall be advised and invited to attend the official Opening, where prizes will be presented.
- Collection of Exhibits. Exhibits will be issued only to persons holding the relevant receipt. As the premises must be cleared, it is vital that all exhibits be removed from the premises between 9am and 12 noon on Sunday 21st July 2024. All Artists with unsold works and purchasers must attend or send a representative with the receipt(s) at that time. If for unexpected and unavoidable reasons no-one can attend at the above time to collect exhibits, it is crucial that they advise Sue Wymond (details below) before the exhibition closes and make definite pick up arrangements.
- Advice of sold This will be posted on Facebook at “blackwoodartshow”. Artists / Photographers / sculptors may telephone the exhibition before it closes to ask if works have been sold.
- Prizes will be presented to the creators of the winning entries at the official opening, or posted to the address on the entry form. Proceeds of sales, net of commission, will be transfered by secure bank transfer to the bank account details supplied by artist as soon as practicable after 21st July 2024.
KEY CONDITIONS

- Up to 4 Entries (6 for Premium artists) – $15 for Paintings and sculpture, $10 for Photographs Payment by direct deposit is preferred, but also by cheque, cash or money order.
- Commission to Rotary Club 25%
- Each entry must be identified by the firm attachment of one of the B Sections of the entry form, with all the details correctly filled in, to the top left hand corner of the back of each
- Each painting and photograph, whether framed or not, must be fitted with a secure means of hanging.
- For the purposes of this Competition, a PAINTING is defined as an original pictorial or abstract representation in any medium and be accurately described on the entry form. For the purpose of this Competition, a PHOTOGRAPH is defined as an original in Media; Silver-halide, Laser print or Inkjet. All components of the photograph must have been taken by the entrant. Specifically excluded are photocopies. For the purpose of this Competition, a SCULPTURE is defined as an original work in any medium of a three dimensional work.
- Wet paintings will not be accepted.
